Tis’ the Sealson
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like X-mas
“It's beginning to look a lot like X-Mas
Everywhere you go
Take a look at Diggs and Etienne, they’re scoring TDs once again
With Sun God’s and even the return of Jamo
It's beginning to look a lot like X-Mas 2-star jackets are in store But the prettiest sight to see is that poor Jeff-er-rey Playoff chances are no more”
It’s the same carol we always sing. As consistent as Mariah proclaiming her desire for only you this holiday. Once again the Seasonal Seals are sledding downhill and Stinky’s Dark Horse is riding high as we approach the final furlong. Yes, Jeff and Giorgio are out. A hurricane has wiped out Yanni’s tree and chances, again. Tony is ignoring the WeChat because of his victimization obsession (denile is not only a river in Egypt). Sean’s quirky roster is coming up short. Billy’s always solid team as well. New year, same result. Déjà vu. Sun rises. Sun sets. Same teams suck, same teams shine.
In the movie Rounders, Mike McDermott puts it this way, “Why do you think the same five guys make it to the final table of the World Series of Poker EVERY YEAR? What, are they the luckiest guys in Las Vegas?" Here are the DelFL Ultimate Rankings (a ranking based on the DelFL career records and performance) before the 2022 season started: 1. Keith
2. Boner
3. Bo
4. Birdman
5. X
6. Del
7. Gwil
There is a good chance that all 6 playoff teams will come from the Top 7. The rich get richer and Tony doesn’t even get to the Giorgio Cup (maybe). Luck plays a huge factor in fantasy football, granted, but there is something to say about the same teams vying for a Championship every year. If you don’t see your name on the above list:
"Listen, here's the thing. If you can't spot the sucker in your first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker.”– Mike McDermott from Rounders
