Some Like it Hot, Some Like it Hard

A hard loss leads to a hot pepper

‘The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves.’ Tony was never a fan of Shakespeare. Ask him the reason for a DelFL loss and he will tell you that he is the unluckiest Owner that has ever logged into ESPN’s fantasy app. Ask Tony the reason for a DelFL win, rare as they are, and he will point to an esoteric algorithm that only his genius can weaponize. What an unjust world he inhabits to constantly have his two Kings get trumped by fate’s Blackjack.

Perseverance through this perpetual misfortune, delusional as it might be, is Tony’s most affable quality. That and his Progressive commitment to the Trans community, of course. But this loss stung more than usual.

Tony is now in rare company, joining the 100 Loss Club. Groucho Marx once said that he’d never want to be in a Club that would have him as a member, well, he would probably add that being in a Fantasy Football Club that has Jeff as a member is also undesirable. There are no jackets with no stars for 100 Loss Club members. Adding insult to injury, Tony will have to eat a Ghost Pepper at the next Bunnathon due to his Game of the Week bet with Keith, who will be wearing a Brown Jacket while Tony chokes it down. Seems he likes it Hot as well as Hard.
