Skyfell

Owner Double-oh-Zero has a license to kill fantasy seasons. Skyfall is the best of all the Bond movies. At its core, it is about an aging and weary secret agent trying to prove to his peers that he still has his fastball. 007 globetrots his way around exotic locales, but for most of the movie he travels to Scotland where he tries to lure the villain and save the day. In the end, spoiler alert, Bond fails. M dies and 007 is left wondering if this is the end.

The DelFL’s aging and weary Owner is similarly questioning his fastball. Some of his peers murmur if he ever had one. In like manner, 000 traveled recently to Ireland seeking attestation and glory. But unlike 007, he didn’t lure a worthy adversary, settling instead for Guinness Disease riddled sons putting up 17s and passing out on train platforms. It would be like if 007 tried to entrap Mr. Bean instead of Raoul Silva.

Coming home from Ireland, confident with a shiny medal around his neck, 000 thought the DelFL season was his for the taking. Spoiler alert, he failed. 000 quickly learned that it might be easy to take out the average henchmen, but up against real villainy, you wind up both shaken & stirred.

This isn’t the end, but if you saw Spectre, you know it doesn’t get any better from here.
