Circle of Life
Some say, eat or be eaten
“Some of us fall by the wayside And some of us soar to the stars And some of us sail through our troubles And some have to live with the scars”
Elton John’s lyrics ring true for this most vexing of a year in the DelFL. Unless you are the impregnable Keith, who never has an injury or any virus related trouble, management of a fantasy team has never been more difficult. Dak’s decimated ankle proves how much this season is a wheel of fortune. All Owners can do is spin the wheel, and hope for mercy. For Gwil, Dak, & the Cowboys that merciless wheel doesn’t seem to be sending them to any Showcase Showdown. Instead, the vultures are now circling.
The moribund rookie has often stated this season that he isn’t ready to take the training wheels off. The learning curve has been steeper than Mount Rainier. Gwil has struggled to estimate Free Agency bids and has yet to figure out when the best time is to reach Sqwid for a trade (as the entire DelFL nods in agreement about this baffling question). Yet, this Dak injury will be the ultimate test. Sink or swim. Trade with the vultures or roll the dice with the Red Rifle (if he can get him)?
In the Circle of Life, you never take more than you give. Gwil will have to give a lot of Del Dollars for Andy Dalton.
