The #1 team in the Power Rankings needs smarter ‘personal decisions’ from Lamar.

Lamar Jackson. The name alone in the echo-chambers of the DelFL is enough to soak suitcases and ignite rivalries. Is he a good pocket passer? Is he a good running back, that happens to play QB? Discussed ad nauseum for years and as polarizing as one’s position on recent Texas state abortion legislation.

But another storm cloud hovers over the 2020 #1 overall pick (slid 53 picks in 365 days). This cloud has to do with the verbiage ‘personal choice’. As Dr. Shakespeare would put it, ‘to jab or not to jab – that is the question’. The health, status and consequences of unvaccinated players, Lamar Jackson being one of them, will be a storyline all year long. No choice could be more personal, for Boner, than whether Lamar can stay negative one nostril prod at a time.

Boner has some other players who are also making ‘personal choices’. Deandre Hopkins & Cole Beasley are also ‘personally choosing’ to be troglodytic when it comes to immunization. But with only Teddy Two Gloves in reserve, Boner won’t be able to taste or smell a repeat Championship if/when Lamar tests positive. No wonder he wanted that IR so badly.
