The King’s season gets swallowed by a Sandworm.

The greatest treasure hunters all face a Guardian in the end. Whether the protagonist is scaling the Lonely Mountain, traversing the arid sands of Arrakis or crossing the Bridge of Death, he must overcome a final impediment if he is to claim his precious prize. Sometimes that impediment comes in the form of a Dragon, Sandworm or the Old Man from Scene 24; the Guardians of gold, spice & grails all offer the hero one final test of courage and fortitude, because a true treasure is worth fighting for.

The DelFL’s Azor Ahai, Gwil, has now reached that critical chapter of his story. As he pursues the greatest treasure of all, the Brown Jacket, he must triumph over the greatest Guardian of all: a season ending injury to his best player, King Henry.

Is this where his story ends? Will Gwil’s face melt as his fleshless body collects with all the other hopeless skeleton raiders of their Lost Arks? With McNichols & Bolden replacing King Henry, he will struggle to conquer adversity with audacity. He is more likely to fall into the Gorge of Eternal Peril than make the Playoffs. Sorry King, it looks like your grail quest is Done.
