Final Four

Will it be a new jacket, or a 3rd star? We will find out in 2 weeks... Good Luck!

#1 The Kavorka: inGodwinWeTrust Owner: Del Brown 2019 Season: 10-3 2019 PPG: 486 Playoffs: 5-2 Championships: 2 H2H v. Keith: 0-0 Best Matchup in Round 1: Chris Godwin @ DET Worst Matchup in Round 1: Austin Ekeler V MIN

The Commissioner rolled the dice on some iffy players on terrible teams that had propitious schedules, we are going to find out very soon if he should have kept the dice in his pocket. Players with names like Slayton, Minshew & Hurns are nowhere to be found on the rosters of other #1 ranked teams across the ESPN fantasy football platform, but this is what makes the DelFL special. The Kavorka’s band of misfits have brought the Commissioner to a Week 15 Final Four match against his soon to be brother-in-law. They have won, remarkably, eight games in a row. Can the streak and a dream of 3 stars stay alive? Doubtful.

#4 White Wolf Owner: Keith Wolf 2019 Season: 9-5 2019 PPG: 450 Playoffs: 1-0 Championships: 0 H2H v. Del: 0-0 Best Matchup in Round 1: Jimmy Garoppolo v ATL Worst Matchup in Round 1: Julio Jones @ SF

As the wedding quickly approaches, the Christmas carolers in Belleville are signing only one song, “Kavorkas roasting on an open fire, Jimmy G making all the throws, Gurley screen passes down to the wire, as the DelFL tailor starts to sew. A Brown Jacket and some mistletoe, will help to make the season bright, Keith and Brittany with their eyes all aglow, will find it easy to sleep tonight.’" A Stanley Cup championship, followed by Keith getting a DelFL team, followed by a dominant first season with a Wildcard win and advancement to the Final Four. How is a Brown Jacket and marriage not the end of this story? It must be destiny. Good win Keith.

#2 Set in Devil's Ménage à Trois Owner: Tony Alesi 2019 Season: 9-4 2019 PPG: 399 Playoffs: 0-2 Championships: 0 H2H v. Billy: 3-6 Best Matchup in Round 1: Chris Carson @ CAR Worst Matchup in Round 1: Robby Anderson @ BAL

Year of the Wolf? Not so fast my friend – as Lee Corso would say. Year of the Fish also seems inevitable. Which is why Wolf versus Fish is the Finals matchup the DelFL deserves. Tony’s team, despite scoring only 399 points per game in the Regular Season, is firing on all cylinders. He has much better matchups this week than his opponent. If there was ever a time to win his first DeLFL playoff game, this would be it. Tony doesn’t have to worry about the clock, it's ticking. Tony doesn’t have to worry about the Dawgs, they’re hibernating. Tony doesn’t have to worry about Natalie coming to the wedding, she’s passing. Tony doesn’t have to worry about that rash, he’s penicillin-ing. Tony doesn't have to worry about The Ringer's debts, he's not paying. There is nothing for Tony to worry about in the world. A Championship and Brown Jacket are surely his.

v. #6 Rise of the Militant Left Owner: Billy Brown 2019 Season: 8-6 2019 PPG: 435 Playoffs: 2-4 Championships: 0 H2H v. Tony: 6-3 Best Matchup in Round 1: Zach Pascal @ NO Worst Matchup in Round 1: Courtland Sutton @ KC

Payback Bowl for the once threatened Treasurer. The DelFL must remember, as Week 13 was coming to an end, never-has-he-won-a-playoff-game Tony was chirping about Billy being relegated (Tony then quit the DelFL in a huff and puff of childish proportion) for not starting a full lineup. The DelFL Treasurer does not take kindly to threats. But Billy is also a realist. He knows his roster, which was disappointing all year, is capable of laying a dud. The matchups for the Rise of the Militant Left look dud-worthy in Week 15. However, the fact that Billy is able to play in the Final Four is as shocking as it would be for Billy to be playing in the Finals. Anything can happen.
