Is Mahomes bound to bring a second star home to the Dogs?

A little boost from new Dog Mike Evans goes a long way to ease the pain of Patrick Mahomes' sore shoulders. And that is quite needed, because those shoulders are getting very tired and the Junk Yard Dog Championship Wagon isn't going to get to their desired destination with only one man pulling the load.

Luckily, with the aforementioned new Dog Mike Evans and others, that load is starting to lighten. But it has been heavy at times this year. Kapo's star QB has accounted for 31% of the total Junk Yard Dog's scoring. Mahomes has gone over 100 points in every game but 2 & he does it despite throwing a lot of interceptions (which shows how many yards and TD's he is accumulating). He is a phenom of fecundity. The highest scoring player in the DelFL and will still be even after his BYE in week 12.

The Dogs are hungry. They are rabid. The kennel is rocking. The foam drooling from their mouths can fill up a DelFL Championship trophy. But it is not going to be Patrick Mahomes that wins the Dogs a 2nd title. Yes, Captain Consistent is going to put up big numbers after returning from his BYE. But as X & the Starks like to say, winter is coming. Arrowhead isn't propitious for track meets come December especially against the Ravens & Chargers with decent secondaries. Patrick Mahomes might have carried the Dogs this far. But it will be the push of Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, David Johnson & others that will be relied upon to cross the finish line.

They might just end up slipping on their own drool.
