As the DelFL enters BYE week play, the depth of rosters will start to be tested. No longer can the blue chippers be easily plugged into the starting lineup. This is the time when Brown Jackets are actually won. But some luck does play a role, as it usually does in sports. There is nothing better than playing an opponent with their best racehorses stuck in the stable for the weekend.
Who misses out on Kamara? Who misses out on Gurley? Who misses out on Mahomes? Here is a rough breakdown and ranking of 'Strength of Schedule' for the BYE weeks.
Mini Division (Strength of Schedule for BYEs from hardest to easiest)
1. Nothing But Baby Seals - Andrew avoids two top WRs (and maybe a 3rd if you count Hogan, I don't).
2. Chompin' On Some Pork Rinds - Del avoids Larry Fitzgerald which isn't the break it used to be.
3. Team Pig and Sushi - Warren avoids Zeke in the Shiner Bowl plus 2 solid WRs against the Commish.
4. Kamikaze - Shady Ginsei - Sean avoids Cam in a must win week 4 + Kamara & some other solid RBs.
5. Rise of the Militant Left - Billy avoids a lot of young talent (Kerryon/Sony) and some older guys.
6. Murphy's Maulers Grrr - Jeff avoids 3 1st rounders & a talent in Tyler Boyd, whom he could have owned.
Malika Division (Strength of Schedule for BYEs from hardest to easiest)
1. Mile High Deny - Jesse avoids Drew Brees and Carson Wentz but not a lot of positional player talent.
2. Team Birdman - Birdman avoids Matt Ryan and Andrew Luck plus 2 of the best young WR stars around.
3. Boner Tossing Cobb Salads - Tony avoids Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Derrick Henry & Dak against Yanni.
4. Bossier City Boyz - Parker avoids the KC duo of Hill/Hunt, 2 stud WRs (Evans/Juice) and an old RB star.
5. King of the Hill - Bo avoids two of the best WRs in the NFL plus some solid RBs & WRs
6. I luv My Bohner - Boner avoids Jeff's best two RBs in week 4. This is the easiest BYE schedule by far.
Marianne Division (Strength of Schedule for BYEs from hardest to easiest)
1. Brown Sugar Pies - Giorgio avoids Aaron Rodgers and not a whole lot else outside of upcoming week 4.
2. The Tuck Rule - Stinky avoids Alex Smith in week 4 plus a lot of former star RB/WR that might be busts.
3. Squidocalypse Now - Squid avoids the Brady/Gronk combo in what could be a playoff clincher week 11.
4. JYD 2: Year of the Dog: Tits avoids Gurley and Kelce in week 12, another crucial Marianne matchup.
5. FLA BayBay - Yanni avoids Michael Thomas in a big week 6 matchup against Birdman + Captain Kirk.
6. Mr. Steal Your Gurley - Randy avoids the best QB in the NFL (Mahomes) and many other star RB & WRs.
