Squidlock Holmie

It's elementary with dear Watson at QB.

‘You see, but you do not observe. The distinction is clear.’ Squid certainly saw Watson outplaying Big Ben through the first 4 weeks of the season, but he failed to observe the star QB he had riding the pine. That has finally changed & DeShaun Watson is now locked in at starter. Subsequently, Squid has a two game winning streak and is leading the Daisy Duke division, notwithstanding the obvious fact that he has scored the fewest points in the DelFL.

But there is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact. SQWIDICUS MINIMALUS might average a paltry 287 points per game, which would be the 2nd worst points per game in DelFL history (the worst would the Commissioner's 2009 season, 274 ppg), but with Watson scoring 100+ points in the last 3 games, it's easy to deduce that this team is a legitimate threat to make the playoffs. That would be Squid's 4th consecutive postseason.

Who is the real nemesis of this team's playoff potential? It isn't week 7's opponent (#1 ranked Pig and Sushi), it isn't the trifling Daisy Duke division (11-25 season record), it is the first round draft pick: Amariarty. The 13th overall pick has been a thorn in Squidlock's side for the entire 2017 season. In the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle books, Moriarty plummets to his death into the Reichenbach Falls; perhaps it's time for Amariarty to follow a similar fate to the bench or another team.
