Ezechiele 6:5
And you will know his name is Zeke when he lays his vengeance upon thee.
First it was Britain. Then it was the USA. And very soon it will be Italy's turn to vote for illiberalism and regression. The whole world will be watching when the Italians reject Matteo Renzi's sensible referendum and the Euro crisis is resurrected. It will be a dark holiday season for Italy.
But hope can sometimes be found in the unlikeliest of places. This Thanksgiving week, the DelFL will also be paying attention to an Italian. The path of the Righteous man, Giorgio's 6-5 team, is again tied for the Aardvark division lead. With Squid's team looking like a cooked turkey (or fried calamari) and a showdown with fellow Aardvark leader, Kapo, in week 12 (GOTW?); Giorgio has a chance to prove that Italians are not hopeless.
Giorgio has not performed well under pressure. He boasts a league worst 11 GOTW losses & has never won the division or a playoff game. But until this season, he has never had Ezekiel Elliott. Like the prophet, Ezekiel the running back has been no docile figure, as he has ravaged defenses for 94 points per game. Zeke has arguably been the most consistent player in the DelFL, and is a big reason why Giorgio remains in contention not only for the Aardvark division title, but also a Brown Jacket. During Zeke's Thanksgiving's game against the Redskins, he is going to show why even Italians should be thankful.
