In the not so pacific Pacific Northwest

Name: John Kapostasy 2015 Record: 8-5 Career Record: 66-59 Division Championships: 2 (2014 & 2015) Playoff Appearances: 3 (2013, 2014 & 2015) Playoff Wins: 6 Finals Appearances: 2 Brown Jackets: 1 Why the Seahawks? Seattle football fans do not need to be historians. They probably could care less talking about the greatness of Steve Largent. To Seahawks fans, football started in 2003 with Matt Hasselback's famous words before overtime in Green Bay, "We'll take the ball and we're going to score." The Seahawks lost in OT but it was the beginning of a new era. Since 2003 the Seahawks have failed to make the playoffs only 3 times. They have made 3 Super Bowls and won it all in 2013. The Seahawks have undoubtedly been the best team in the NFL over the last 4 seasons. The playoffs are now expected and anything short of a Super Bowl Championship is failure. Kapo's DelFL story is much the same. Prior to his 2013 Championship, Kapo was an irrelevant fantasy nomad. But his move to Shanghai changed everything, since 2013 he has a record of 31-16 (best in DelFL). In the last 3 years, Kapo has made three straight semifinals, two finals and has won 1 Brown Jacket. Like the Seahawks, Kapo narrowly lost his most recent final in the very last seconds due to a poor play call (throwing the ball in Seattle's case, starting the Giant's D/ST in Kapo's case). And any comparison between the Seahawks and Kapo wouldn't be complete without mention of the 12th Man & Steamer. It is tough to tangibly quantify their contribution. Are they over-hyped or are they the secret ingredient that keeps both competitive? The exact answer doesn't matter. What does matter is Kapo is rising up the Ultimate Standings, he has now cemented himself as a favorite for the Brown Jacket every year and everything before this magical run is all but forgotten. Seattle football fans can relate. Next: Parker
