A Long December

And there's reasons to believe, maybe this year will be better than the last. Name: Tyler Birchmeier 2015 Record: 10-3 Career Record: 74-63 Division Championships: 3 (2007, 2013 & 2015) Playoff Appearances: 5 (2007, 2008, 2009, 2013 & 2015) Playoff Wins: 3 Finals Appearances: 1 Brown Jackets: 1 Why the Chiefs? Only one person has won more games than Birdman (Parker). No one has qualified for more playoffs than Birdman (50% of the time, a record shared with Stinky and Parker). No one has won more Division Championships than Birdman (3, a record tied with 3 others). No one has won more Game of the Weeks than Birdman (10, tied with Bo). When you discuss 'Team Birdman' you naturally are discussing one of the most successful DelFL Owners of all time. But what else is Birdman successful at? Losing in the playoffs. In 2 of the last 3 seasons, Birdman has had the BYE heading into the postseason, only to lose in the first game he plays in. Despite qualifying for 5 total playoffs, Birdman hasn't won a playoff game since 2009 (beat Tony in 1st round). Apart from his Championship 2007 season, which feels like forever ago, Birdman has been bounced in his 1st playoff game in 3 of 4 attempts. Which NFL team is notorious for Regular Season brilliance only to screw it up in the playoffs (who may also have won their only Championship in the early part of their league's existence)? It's the Kansas City Chiefs. Since 2003, the Chiefs have qualified for the playoffs 5 times and have lost in the 1st round 4 times. The only year in which they did win their 1st round game, they were subsequently defeated in the 2nd round. There is no denying that the Chiefs are one of the most successful NFL teams of all time, they are Super Bowl Champions. But that was in 1969, and they can't seem to be able to find a way to get back into the mix, (insert joke about how Grant wouldn't lose in all of these early round playoff games). It won't be surprising if both Birdman and the Chiefs are again winning their divisions this coming November, but it is what they do in December that will count. Next: Kapo
