How Bout' Dem Bohnleins
The Cowboys and Boner draw a lot of eyeballs but not for recent success Name: Justin Bohnlein 2015 Record: 2-11 Career Record: 74-61 Division Championships: 2 (2006 & 2008) Playoff Appearances: 3 (2006, 2008 & 2012) Playoff Wins: 3 Finals Appearances: 2 Brown Jackets: 1 Why the Cowboys? At first glance one could easily make the comparison to the Miami Dolphins; Boner and the Dolphins both have the only undefeated seasons in their respective leagues & both have been abysmal for the longest time. That sounds good, but Boner shares nothing with the city of Miami, he has never had a Latina look at him let alone sleep with him. This automatically disqualifies him for the comparison he wanted. I think Boner is more like the Cowboys anyways. Why? Drama. You never know what is going to happen next to the Cowboys or Boner. They definitely draw headlines and play in prime time games despite not being relevant in ages. Boner has played in 16 Game of the Week's yet he has made the playoffs only once since 2008. The Cowboys haven't been a true contender for the title since they won it in 1995, yet because of the Jerry Dome and Cowboys marketing, they play in countless Sunday and Monday night games. We don't know what Boner is going to lose next; golf clubs, credit cards, clothing, himself. But we do know what to expect: another lousy season filled with countless Bonerisms that for a moment distracts attention from the putrid performance on the fantasy football field. Same in Dallas. No matter how much we have to hear about Romo, Dez and Zeke; we know what we can probably expect: another lousy season with losses and an abundance of Sportscenter spots analyzing those losses.
