Why the Titans?
The Titans and Randy are stuck in a lull. When the Titans moved from Houston they made the playoffs 4 of the first 5 years but have failed to make the playoffs in their last 7. Randy also had early success, he won his division in 2010 and had a 4 year stretch with a winning record (albeit a lot of 7-6 seasons). Their arcs are quite similar, but what really ties them together is their finals appearances. When the Titans made their only Super Bowl in 1999, they miraculously advanced due to a trick special teams play dubbed the 'Music City Miracle'. Randy also got help from the fantasy gods when the phantom yards of Bo's Rashard Mendenhall were taken away, giving Randy a 1 point victory over Bo in what is now called the 'Illegal Entry' (named after Randy's ironic team name). Of course, both the Titans and Randy went on to lose in the finals to the Rams and Parker respectively. But ever since, the miracles have dried up for both. The Titans have aspiring QB star Marcus Mariota and may be able to have more success than they have had in the recent past, but if Andrew Luck is healthy, they most likely won't do much damage. Randy stays competitive every year, he has never lost more than 8 games in one season, but he also has been dominated by division rivals Tits and Squid. Both teams need to take more chances, sign more marquee stars and make more trades. Otherwise both teams will be competitive but won't escape their Limbo.
