Giorgio Rule

The Giorgio Rule, named because it was his idea, will be enacted this year.

I feel there is enough support for the Giorgio Rule to be implemented this year. Through Executive Decision, the winner of the 2015 Consolation Tournament will get to choose their draft pick position for the 2016 season. What is the Consolation Tournament?

The 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th place teams (everyone except the Playoff teams and the Piss Poor Four) after week 13 will play in a 3 week single elimination tournament starting week 14. Seeding is determined by the same tie-breaker rules as the Playoffs. In week 14 the 7th seed will play the 14th seed; the 8th seed will play the 13th seed; the 9th seed will play the 12th seed; the 10th seed will play the 11th seed. The winner of the week 16 Consolation final match will get to choose which position they pick in the 2016 draft, the rest of the draft order will be based on final regular season standings (skipping whichever draft position the winner chooses).
