Let Steamer Play

Despite Boner's efforts, it looks as if Steamer will have to wait another year for a team...

Here we are again, another summer arguing whether or not to expand.

My stance on this controversial subject remains unchanged. I want to expand (I also want to add individual defensive players). These are my 2 big wishes for the DeLFL. I appreciate Boner's hard work in advocating my position.

That said, I am not willing to make these changes if it means I am losing Andrew (who has threatened to leave). You might argue that this gives someone like Andrew, China-like UN Security Council Vetoing power, and (hating to admit this) you would be right. So it seems like another year of my reforms will have to be shelved.

Regardless, I have put a vote up on the DeLFL site. Please take the time and vote so I can see where the league stands on this issue.

Now there are 2 issues we do need to address (in which hopefully no one will threaten to leave over).

Issue #1: I need to know which Draft date works best for the majority of the DelFL. Yanni cannot make the draft on August 23rd and he is hoping we can move it to a week earlier or a week later. Please let me know of your availabilty in this 3 week time frame so I can appropriately assign the draft date.

Issue #2: I was recently notified by ESPN that our Free Agent bidding system will be changed and I have no way of adjusting the settings. This means after the first Free Agent auction of the week, all remaining players will become free agents and there will be no more auctions. Personally I hate this. We would have to move from ESPN to go back to a multiple auction system. This is the ESPN message below.

"GAME NOTICE: Note to our FAAB style waiver leagues: starting this year players who are not claimed during the FAAB process will become free agents for the remainder of that waiver period."
